Scarborough Brief Counselling Service 
 

The waiting list for this service re-opens on Tuesday, 8th October 2024.

We offer an initial assessment and up to eight counselling sessions (we do not charge for sessions but as a charity welcome donations) for individuals, aged 18 and over, living in Scarborough, with a wide range of issues, such as (this is not a complete list):

​

  • mild to moderate anxiety

  • mild to moderate depression

  • anger management issues

  • bereavement, and other types of loss

  • the emotional impact of physical illness, health problems or disability

  • relationship difficulties

  • significant life changes

  • work-related stress.

As well as face-to-face sessions at Auborough Street, Scarborough, we can offer clients remote counselling (online or over the telephone).  â€‹Clients can either self-refer - or be referred – using the referral form on this website. 

​

We offer an initial assessment appointment to ensure the service is right for you followed by up to eight weekly hour long counselling sessions. Sessions can be face to face at our rooms in Auborough Street or remote (telephone or online).
