An Employee Assistance Programme - or EAP - is a type of employee benefit scheme, whereby an employer pays for counselling for their employees (and is some cases family members also) to address personal problems and/or work-related issues, which may be impacting on their work-performance, physical health and mental and emotional well-being. There is no age limit for this service.
A number of local employers have entered into EAP contracts with Community Counselling in order to provide their employees with a free-to-use and confidential counselling service (the number of sessions varies according to individual contracts). Our EAP service is accredited by our professional body, the BACP.
